Psychopy demos12/29/2023 I understand that presenting 3D objects with PsychoPy is still under test. In some paradigms people’s capacity not to respond is tested. According to the following error message, an update to PsychoPy\lib\site-packages\psychopy\visual\stim3d.py should address this issue. Introduction In many experiment paradigms, people’s response speed and accuracy is measured. However, this code seems to be outdated and no longer compatible with the current PsychoPy (2022.2.1). LightSource(win, pos=pivotPose.pos, lightType='point',ĭiffuseColor=(0, 0, 0), specularColor=(1, 1, 1)) Light source was setup with the following code: win.lights = [ What did you try to make it work: I tried the demos out which worked, but whenever I try to run my own work, PsychoPy crashes. I was wondering if this might be because I should be running the experiment from the builder, but I’m not able to because I don’t know where the “ale” typo is in the builder? Or I was hoping you might have another idea.In the demo program \psychopy\demos\coder\misc\rigidBodyTransform.py 1.84.x): 3.2.3 Standard Standalone (y/n) If not then what:y What are you trying to achieve: Making any experiment run. For an example how to use this, open builder view, go to demos (top task bar) > unpack demos then return. I am not seeing any error messages, and then I just escape and it ends. The first will have a basic keyboard component (where allowed keys is r) and some text reading ' press r to start recording' the second will just need a microphone component and a keyboard component to stop the recording. But then it just freezes on that page indefinitely. Second, if I do run the amended demo_eye_tracking_lastrun.py from the coder, I am able to enter a participant number, then it goes to the “Downloading additional resources. PsychoPy ® is a free cross-platform package allowing you to run a wide range of experiments in the behavioral sciences (neuroscience, psychology, psychophysics, linguistics.) This is a community project. I am able to delete the code in coder view, but I don’t know where the error is in the builder, so I don’t know how to save the amendment of the error. We have tried to run both demo_eye_tracking and demo_eye_tracking2, either cloned from github or run from the in-built psychopy demos, and we always get the same error: that the letters “ale” appear on line 31 of the code, which crashes the experiment. The first issue comes about when we try to run the experiment on the desktop instead of pavlovia. I am trying to run demo_eye_tracking on desktop versions of psychopy with some interns (they all either downloaded psychopy on mac/windows standalone/anaconda) so they can adapt the tpronk code for their own online eyetracking experiments. Running your script on top of the previous one can lead to some really hard-to-find bugs because you dont know in what state the previous script left the memory, graphics card and namespace. It means that you know the namespace is clean on each run. This paper describes the range of tools and stimuli that it provides and the environment in. The PsychoPy app itself gets around the by launching each script in a new process. PsychoPy can also generate movies and image sequences to be used in demos or simulated neuroscience experiments. Standard Standalone? (y/n) If not then what?: standalone and anaconda PsychoPy is a software library written in Python, using OpenGL to generate very precise visual stimuli on standard personal computers. If not then just delete and start from scratch.
